Diagnosis and management of childhood cancer in GeorgiaThe project: to support the activity of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology service at the Central Children's Hospital in Tbilisi. The initial phase focused on the objective of strengthening diagnostic capacity and in March 2011 Cure2Children supplied a flow cytometer, i.e. an essential piece of equipment for the correct diagnosis and treatment of leukemia. C2C has also provided a scholarship for a doctor dedicated to this project and supported financially the local home for parents of children under care.
In October 2022, the scientific coordinator of C2C, dr. Lawrence Faulkner, visited the center of Tbilisi where the diagnostic laboratory for childhood leukemia has grown considerably becoming an important point of reference.
