Cure2Children speaks at the International Thalassemia Conference in Cairo on International Thalassemia Day

14th International Thalassemia Conference was organised by the Egyptian Thalassemia Association on the eve of International Thalassemia Day in Cairo, Egypt on 8th and 9th of May 2013.
Many national and international experts in the field of thalassemia from across the world attended the conference. Recent developments and updates in treatment and cure for thalassemia were widely discussed during the conference. Prevention of thalassemia and gene therapy were the hot topics.
Lawrence Faulkner was given the opportunity to present on the success of Cure2Children. He shared the significance of bone marrow transplantation (BMT) for the cure of thalassemia and Cure2Children’s experience in BMT and prevention of thalassemia.
