Cure2Children presents at the 2013 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology

Cure2Children’s abstract on Infectious Complications In 96 Matched-Related Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT) Performed Without Positive Pressure Room Or Centralized Hepa Filtration In Lower Middle Income Countries” has been accepted by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) program committee for presentation at the 55th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition (December 7-10, 2013) in New Orleans, LA
This is a great opportunity and proud moment for Cure2Children to show that competative results and success rates can be achieved even in low-resource setting seeking to cure children with thalassemia through bone marrow transplantation. Acknowledging this success is a critical step in curing more children at local transplant centers. Ours is the largest patient series performed in simplified BMT units.
Our abstract will also be published online in the November 15 supplemental volume of Blood.
