Activities and achievements of Cure2Children Foundation were presented at the 39th Annual Meeting of the European group for Blood and Marrow Transplant held in London during April 2013.
Al Zahra Teaching Hospital, the children's hospital of Najaf, is very keen to start a bone marrow transplantation program which initially would be primarily for thalassemia major. Iraq has over 10,000 children with that severe disease which could be cured by bone marrow transplantation in over 90% of those having a compatible sibling.
